Luxembourg City | Vegan spots & drinks
There are quite a few nice looking vegan places in Luxembourg city and as per usual we relied on the Happy Cow app.
On our budget, we mostly had supermarket snacks however there is one vegan restaurant that we would definitely recommend.
Beet is most conveniently located right at the Place Guillaume II - the main city square. The place itself is very modern and minimal, the menu is fairly basic but after a whole day of exploring sometimes all you want is some solid fries and a burger.
We had the falafel plate and the vegan BBQ burger. The prices are fair considering that it was delicious, we left stuffed and we even took some falafel we couldn't finish with us.
We washed it all down with one of the most popular local beer brands Battin - Fruitee and Gambrinus.
Luxembourg is not really known for its wild nightlife but there are plenty of nice bars.
Konrad is a cosy little place in the old part of the city with a decent local beer collection on tap.
We had Okult ginger beer and Simon IPA. They also turned out to be the few beers that differ from the range that’s available in any other bar so if you love beer, we recommend to make this your main thirst stop.
Later on we went down to the Grund end ended up in Liquid. We had Dona Darkness - a lovely rich stout with hints of dark chocolate. We absolutely loved the setting, the terrace is overlooking the river Alzette and they have lots of board and card games.
At Cafe des Artistes you will find Belle Époque era and other dated posters plastered all over walls. If you are after beer, the drink variety is very limited though. We tried the local Bofferding. To be fair, it wasn’t anything special, the kind of lager you can have pretty much anywhere but the place itself is not to be missed.
You will surely appreciate Rock Box if you have any love for music on the heavier spectrum. We had Belgian La Chouffe.
